19th August 2009: Wings and Wheels 2009 – A Roaring Success

Wings and Wheels 2009, which took place on 21st June, was a roaring, howling and screaming success.

 

The roar of XM655’s four Olympus 301 engines was joined first by the scream of nine Adour turbojets as the RAF Red Arrows passed overhead streaming red, white and blue smoke on their way to Silverstone.

and later by the howl of four Olympus 201s as XH558 gave us a magnificent impromptu display on her way to Kemble.
